Collectively we have over three decades experience of working in the construction industry. We combine this with an in-depth knowledge of innovation and change management methods to challenge the norm.
Mathewe Bennett (BEng)
Mat is the founder and managing director of Rethinking Construction and combines two decades of experience in the industry with a deep understanding of innovation principles. As the former Head of Strategy and Innovation at Willmott Dixon, Mat gained experience in managing innovation and change programmes in a large organisation. During that time he studied Design Thinking at the Royal College of Art and joined the Conference Board’s prestigious European Innovation Council alongside some of the world’s leading firms. Since becoming an independent consultant in 2021, Mat has worked with a wide range of firms in the industry, from developers to contractors, on a variety of projects from leading change programmes to project workshops.
Emma White (MSc)
Emma joined the business in 2023 having previously been the head of communications for Willmott Dixon and a member of their national change management team. With a master’s degree in business and an MBA in marketing, Emma understands how addressing the needs of customers must be front and centre of any innovation efforts. Emma brings a working knowledge of change management principles, whilst her experience in communications is invaluable in the process of helping employees engage with change and ensure that innovative new ways of working are adopted in practice.
